What the Azriah is

A three-seat chenille sofa with track arms (straight, squared-off arms), sold by Wayfair under its own Wade Logan label. It arrives in pieces and you build it in the room.

It is a small-room sofa. It goes into first apartments, small apartments and home offices, and even people who end up unhappy with it agree it is the right size for a small space.

It looks the part, too. It comes out looking like the photos, and it looks more expensive than it is, and even someone who ended up unhappy with it said so.

Most colors come out the way they look on screen. One Beige buyer found theirs closer to cream, so do not count on it matching a beige you already own.

Is the Azriah comfortable?

Yes, if you like to sit up. It is firm. You sit on the cushion, not in it.

People who like a firm seat love it, and the firmness is the reason they give. It is a good sofa for sitting upright with a laptop, a book or friends over.

People who wanted to sink in are a lot less kind about it. One called the seat cushions “like granite slabs.”

Feel is personal, though, and at least one happy owner calls it soft. Do not read firm as a warning on its own.

The seat is on the shallow side as well. It runs 20.01 inches from the front edge to the back cushion, which suits sitting upright with your feet on the floor more than curling up with your legs tucked under you.

Measure the sofa you curl up on now, from the front edge of the seat to the back cushion. If yours is deeper and you love it that way, you will feel the difference every evening.

If the sofa is for sitting, reading, working or having people over, firm is what you want. If you nap on your sofa most nights, it is the wrong one.

How hard is the Azriah to put together?

Not hard. The back is a two-person job, and the rest you can do alone.

Most people find it easy. The fiddly part is lining the back up with its screw holes, and that is where the few who found it a struggle got stuck, sometimes for well over an hour.

Have a second person hold the back in place while you start the screws, and get every screw started by hand before you tighten any of them.

Wayfair lists a 25-inch minimum door. Measure your narrowest doorway and hallway turn before you order.

How long does the Azriah hold up?

The fabric wears first. Some people get pilling within a few months.

Pilling is the little balls of fiber that rub up on the surface of a fabric, and on this sofa it shows up on the seat. For some people the cushions also flatten and the color fades.

Most people are happy with it and call it good value for the money. But pilling is the wear complaint that keeps coming back, so plan for it.

Order a fabric shaver the same day you order the sofa, and run it over the seat cushions whenever they start to look fuzzy.

For some people the cushions flatten, and after a year or so they start to feel the springs. The seat is fiber-wrapped foam over pocket springs (each coil sewn into its own fabric pocket), so as the foam packs down, the springs are what you notice.

A smaller group has trouble with the legs. A few have broken, a middle leg has scratched a new floor, and some people find them flimsy. One owner’s broken leg turned out to be “ineligible for any remedy.”

The legs are solid eucalyptus and they come off. Put felt pads under every foot, the middle one included, before the sofa touches a wood floor.

The listing gives it a one-year limited warranty for home use, and the terms are in a warranty PDF linked from the listing. Read it before you order, and photograph the legs and frame the day you build it.

Delivery can be patchy too. Some people got the wrong delivery information or no call when the sofa arrived, so keep an eye on the tracking yourself on delivery day.

Who should skip the Azriah

Skip it if your sofa is where the whole family piles on every night. It is not built for kids using it as a trampoline and a dog using it as a bed. If that is your house, I would spend more.

• Skip it if you nap on the sofa most nights. The cushions are firm and the seat is on the shallow side.
• Skip it if you want it to last a decade. Some people who bought it are clear it is not a long-lasting piece.
• Skip it if you want a sofa that turns up already built. This one comes in pieces.
• Skip it if a fabric shaver sounds like a chore you will never do. Pilling is the wear complaint that comes up most.

If you are not sure which side of the firmness split you land on, know how a return works before you order. Wayfair takes most items back within 30 days of delivery, and you generally pay the return shipping, which comes off your refund. (Dropping it at a Wayfair store gets around that, and so does choosing store credit if you are a Wayfair Rewards member or Wayfair Credit Card holder.)

Wayfair wants it back in its original, undamaged condition, and taken apart again, since it arrived that way. That means unscrewing the back you needed two people to put on, so keep the boxes flat behind a door for the first month.

Wayfair’s policy lists a restocking fee only on some large appliances, not on furniture. Store credit comes through 24 hours after you start the return, and a refund to your card takes 3 to 5 business days, so the card is the slower way to get your money back.

Clearance items cannot come back at all, so check the listing does not say Clearance on the day you buy.

Better still, never need the return. Measure chairs and benches until you find something firm with a seat 17.7 inches off the floor, and sit on it for ten minutes. If you could happily do that every evening, order the Azriah.

Who makes Wade Logan, and is it any good?

Wade Logan is Wayfair’s own label. Wayfair owns the name and does not say who builds the furniture.

Who makes Wade Logan furniture?

Wayfair LLC owns the Wade Logan trademark, including for furniture. Wayfair says it runs more than a hundred house brands, which it describes as lines picked by style and price point, and its main way of shipping is straight from its suppliers’ warehouses.

The Azriah listing says the sofa is imported, and that is as much as Wayfair tells you. In plain terms, Wade Logan is a name Wayfair puts on furniture from suppliers it does not identify.

Is Wade Logan furniture good quality?

This sofa is good for the money, and I would not expect it to become an heirloom. Judge any other Wade Logan piece on its own reviews.

A shopper on Reddit asking about a Wade Logan couch said the reviews “look great but I’ve heard they’re deceiving.” One commenter there said Wade Logan, Mercer41 and Latitude Run have no maker behind them to send replacement parts. That is one person’s view, and it fits the broken legs above.

On the Azriah, the good and the bad are easy to see coming. It looks good for what it costs, and the trouble, when there is any, is firmness, pilling or the legs. If none of those three would bother you, it is a very good buy for the money.

Is Wade Logan furniture real wood?

This sofa is partly real wood. The frame is solid wood and manufactured wood (engineered board made from wood fibers or veneers glued together), and the legs are solid eucalyptus. Check the Specifications panel on any other Wade Logan piece before you assume it matches.

Where can I buy Wade Logan furniture?

Wayfair and the sites Wayfair runs. Nobody else sells it, so there is no second store to price-check against.

What is the price range for Wade Logan furniture?
