First, which one are you actually after?
Search for a diaper caddy and you get two different products mixed together. They solve different problems and the listings rarely say which is which.
A soft basket with handles goes from the nursery to the sofa to the car. The rigid ones stay put.
These are the three I’d look at, two that carry and one that stays put.

Regular or Large
The Regular measures 13 by 9 by 7 inches and the Large measures 16 by 10 by 7 inches. Three inches of length and one of width sounds like nothing written down. On a changing table it is the difference between a stack of diapers beside the wipes and a stack of diapers on top of them.
So the Large is the one to buy.

The handle contains a touch-sensitive light that switches off by itself after ten minutes, running on a CR2032 you can replace. At 3am that is the difference between finding the wipes and waking the room. The center divider moves, and there are two mesh pockets inside and two more outside.

It puts a coin battery in a nursery. The light runs on a CR2032, and swallowed coin cells cause serious internal burns in small children, which is why they are treated as a hazard rather than a nuisance. Check the compartment is properly shut after every battery change.
Seven months with one
I have had the Oat version since January, and it lives on top of an IKEA cart rather than on a changing table.
The light is the reason to buy this one. It gives enough to do a change in the middle of the night without putting the room lights on and waking everyone. The ten-minute auto-off has never cut out mid-change, and most nights I switch it off by hand before it gets the chance.
The divider is velcro, and mine has stayed put. Skip Hop calls it a movable center divider and does not say how it attaches. That is one caddy over seven months rather than a test.
The battery is still the one it arrived with. It holds diapers, diaper balm, a cloth wipe for drying, cleaning wipes, cotton swabs and a face balm. No blowout has reached it yet, so I cannot tell you how it washes, though it feels like the other baby gear here that has survived one.

Get this one if the caddy is going to sit on the changing table and stay there. It is rigid plastic, so a full pack of wipes will not bow the bottom.
Munchkin says it holds over 20 diapers. There are removable bins on the sides for creams and ointments, and a flat top made to take a wipes dispenser or a wipe warmer.
Neither of those comes in the box, even though the photo shows a warmer sitting on top. You get the organizer and 12 scented diaper bags, so buy the warmer separately if you want one.

Measure the changing table before you order, because the Large wants 16 inches of length and most changing tops run 33 to 36 inches wide. That leaves room for the caddy and the changing pad, and very little else.
If the caddy is going to live beside a chair in the corner rather than on the table, the carry handle stops mattering and the rigid one starts making more sense.
Questions
Do you actually need a diaper caddy?
Only if changes happen somewhere other than the changing table. If everything happens in one room, a drawer does the same job for nothing.
Regular or Large?
Large. At 16 by 10 inches against the Regular’s 13 by 9, it leaves room for diapers beside the wipes.
Is the night light worth it?
If you are doing overnight changes, I think so. I have used one for seven months and the light is the part that earns its place every night.
