Privacy Policy
What gets collected, and what does not.
Last updated 2 August 2026.
The short version
I do not ask you for anything. No accounts, no newsletter, no forms. What does happen is ordinary analytics, plus cookies set by retailers when you follow a link out of here.
What I collect directly
Nothing. There is no signup, no comment box, no mailing list and no checkout. If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you wrote, and I use it to answer you.
What gets collected automatically
Analytics. This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how people actually use the pages. Clarity records anonymised session data covering clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and it may capture a playback of your visit. It does not capture keystrokes in form fields, and there are no forms here to type into anyway. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy terms.
Search data. Google Search Console reports which search terms lead people here and which pages they land on. This arrives aggregated, so no individual is identifiable.
Server logs. The host records standard request data including IP address, browser and page requested, as every web server does.
Cookies
Analytics cookies from Clarity, and affiliate cookies set by retailers when you click a link out to them. That affiliate cookie tells the retailer the visit came from here, which is how commission gets attributed. It sits on their domain rather than mine, under their privacy policy, and it expires on their schedule. Amazon’s lasts 24 hours. Others run to a week or a month.
Blocking cookies in your browser stops all of this. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
Third parties involved
Microsoft Clarity for analytics. Google Search Console for search performance. Retailers you click through to, including Amazon. The web host that serves these pages. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and I have no access to any account you hold with them.
I do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or run ad networks on this site.
Affiliate links
Some links here earn commission. The affiliate disclosure covers how that works and what it does not change about the recommendations.
Your rights
Depending where you live, you may have the right to ask what data relates to you, request deletion, or object to processing. Since I hold almost nothing, most of these questions resolve quickly. Email me and I will tell you honestly what exists.
For data held by Microsoft, Google or a retailer, you will need to approach them directly, because I cannot reach into their systems on your behalf.
Children
This site is written for adults buying furniture. I do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. No archive of past versions is kept, which is worth knowing if that matters to you.
